Taste of Home

Taste of Home adds to an old saying by asking, “tell me where you eat and I’ll tell you who you are.” The show debuts this FirstFriday, May 5, 6 – 9 PM at TPG.
The series explores iconic Raleigh eateries and symbols of the artist’s Hoosier background. Beckoning neon signs, enticing labels, and universal Coke advertising are all part of our American culture and featured in the collection.
15% of sales of this collection will be donated to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina.
Show runs April 6-April 29
Linda Eddins is the featured artist at Tipping Paint Gallery for the month of April. She is very excited to have the opportunity to show off some of her favorite pieces and she does have her favorites, some old, some new. Some were done quite a while ago, while others are relatively newcomers to the group. The ones she likes best are those that, either turned out to be exactly what she saw in her mind’s eye or those that were a fabulous and successful surprise.
Show runs March 2-April 1
The artists of Tipping Paint are long time residents of this wonderfully diversified local. This month they will be sharing work inspired from their favorite places and experiences in and around the triangle. There will be paintings of iconic landmarks and less well-known sites along with nature and wildlife from around the area we call home.
Juried Show: Pick 2
Show runs February 2-February 25
Tipping Paint Gallery is pleased to announce Pick 2. We’re not talking the lottery or restaurant menus here!
This is bigger than monochrome, smaller than the entire color wheel. Artists were asked to pick any two colors for their artwork: complementary, analogous, or random. Those two colors in combination are their color scheme. It should be a very interesting show!
Show runs December 1-January 26
Consider giving art this year.
Art is a gift that lasts. It will be around a long time. Art will have a lasting impact as it continues to speak to the viewer and to nourish their soul.
Art is permanent. It will be enjoyed for a long time; that’s not true of most gifts.
Art reaches beyond, it becomes loved not only because of its beauty and its origin but because it was cherished by someone we love.

Lori White: Barns and Cricks
Show runs May 6 – June 1
Lori White has always been drawn to the country.
Born and raised in rural western Pennsylvania, she spent many long summer days tromping through fields and following fence rows to see where they went.
These days she avoid malls and high rises, instead heading for local farms, cricks, and lakes whenever possible. There’s nothing like an old barn, corn stubble, and curious goats.
Linda Eddins: Roatan Gems
Show runs April 1 – May 4
Linda’s inspiration for this show comes from the many beautiful and amazing things she saw while visiting Roatan, Honduras in January.
She has dubbed her show “Roatan Gems”. The name comes from the diverse, hardworking and interesting beach merchants, the abundantly colorful and vibrant coral reefs and the ever changing sea.
